New Ministry Opportunity

I hope you had a wonderful Christmas and are looking forward to 2019! As we head into the new year, I am so thankful for a new ministry opportunity. As you may already know, I recently joined the staff of Adventures in Missions. Over the last 2 years of serving as a volunteer facilitator/trainer for Adventures’ women’s ministry, Beauty for Ashes, I have developed a passion for helping leaders discover their gifts and calling and then helping them become the best leaders they can be.

When Adventures offered me a job doing leader development in their short-term missions department, I knew that this is what the Lord has been preparing for me for a long time. Even before I felt a calling to work with leaders, God led me to grad school at Wheaton College where I studied leadership and evangelism in cross-cultural settings. At the time, I thought I would be helping plant churches, but the Lord apparently had other ideas. 🙂

I believe my own experience serving as a missionary, along with my master’s degree, has given me a unique perspective to help leaders facilitate short-term trips more effectively. My goal in my new position is to ensure that our leaders help their teams produce lasting fruit for the local communities where they serve, as well as in the lives of trip participants long after they return home. I am excited to see how the Lord uses me in my new role and would love to share my journey with you going forward:
